The Better Business Bureau serving East Texas has seen an increase in online scams during the pandemic.
TYLER, Texas — Scams have been on the rise with more people spending time online during the pandemic. Mechele Mills, President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving Central East Texas, says with stimulus money coming in and tax returns soon, scammers will be on the prowl.
“We saw a lot of scams happen with stimulus checks that went out last year, and we’ll see it again this year, we’re already starting to see that,” she explained.
