Nearly two-thirds of Americans disapprove of President Biden‘s handling of the economy, according to a new poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.
Those polled also are more likely than not to believe that Biden’s policies have hurt the economy more than helped it.
All-in-all, 65 percent of Americans have a disapproving view of Biden’s economic handling, which includes 96 percent of Republicans and 36 percent of Democrats, based on the AP’s poll.
About 70 percent of Americans think the U.S. economy is not doing well, though the majority of Americans—less than half—do not fault President Biden for high gas prices, based on the AP poll.
The lack of blame on Biden for gas price increases show that the country is keeping an eye on the situation in Ukraine and Russian President Putin’s invasion of the country and its effect on the oil industry, notes the AP.
