Fargo officials are advising residents that if you receive a call from the city hall, it could be a scam. Phone users in a variety of states have reported receiving calls from a number that seems to be the main line of Fargo City Hall. According to reports, the calls were part of a regular “grandparent scam,” in which the caller poses as a grandchild in need of money. The City of Fargo is aware that the phone number is being misrepresented, and urges that anyone who receives a hoax call not call back.
